It's time to welcome 2017, to start of the new year pinoypixel have update its logo to a cubic letter 'P'. It is not much but it fits well in identifying pinoypixel. The logo will be improved after a few revisions. Aside from the logo, here are the things that will be expected for Pinoypixel 2017. I will focus on three things for this year and hopefully something can be achieved by the end of 2017.
This year will be a year of content, more write-up, more game demo and more site updates. Setting a fixed schedule and release buffer will help in putting up some consistency on this project.
One Game Every Month
This is one of my ambitious target, it is to create a decent casual game per month. The game should be at least around 30 work hours worth of game. This will help me set a definite focus and improve my game development estimation and planning skills.
Each game would focus on a different template but complementary to other pinoypixel games. This year one of my goals is to create a comprehensive Construct 2 template in developing games. Having decent game templates will greatly help development speed of future projects as well as enhance scalability.
Enhance Existing Games
Old games shouldn't be left over games. I have finished three sandbox games last year which are Gabriel, Minero and Liferay. Based on some feedback, it is better for me to post finished games so every now and then I will be puting up some updates on these three.
Early on, I have also created a few games that I plan to bring back such as BigBang, Core and Kuting. Although some of these games are a bit off from Filipino themed games, it still contains a few concept driven from Filipino cultures.
One Major Game: Godstwilight
Targeting to complete one major game. Godstwilight has been a title I have been planning to create for quite sometime. The game will start development around mid this year. Currently Godstwilight would be in requirement and design phase. It will have a dedicated running pinoypixel page, that will be constantly updated.
